Have you ever been to a writer’s conference? I haven’t yet, but thinking about attending one. Any tips? I would like it to be in the U.S. Thanks, D
I have several postings on attending a writer’s conference, particularly Killer Nashville, which is in August, so the next one is coming up soon. KillerNashivlle.com. As for tips: 1) Go with a goal in mind, such as if you have a novel you want an agent to read, be prepared to attend the pitch sessions and have a polished pitch. The goal can be simply going to see what a conference is like. 2) Attend a conference that interests you. 3) Be polite. Good manners will help you more than you know. 3) If you can, go with a friend. Not a requirement, but it can help to have someone you know to compare notes with.
