Haiku to you Thursday: “Alms”

Lawnmowers silenced /

Crippled grass cries out for rain: /

alms for the parched Earth.

Haiku to you Thursday: “I am”

The Earth says, “I am.”

Rivers flowing to oceans

NASA Probes Record Sounds In Space – And It’s Terrifying.

The Daily Epic » NASA Probes Record Sounds In Space – And It’s Terrifying..

Despite what you’ve heard, there are actual sounds in space.

Due to the virtual vacuum in space, it’s not sound like you and I experience it (that being waves pulsing through the air), but there are electromagnetic waves that pulsate at the same wavelength as the sound waves we can hear.

Instruments on several NASA probes including Voyager have recorded these waves and translated them into a sound that we can hear, and they are all kinds of spooky. This is the kind of thing you hear in a movie just before someone opens a door in a dark hallway.

So, take a listen to the true nature of the solar system. And sleep tight.

Photo Finish Friday: “The Big CrackUp”

“The World’s economy collapsed today when roughly the top third of the globe blew away. Nobody knows right off hand what caused the event to take place, nor why it appears that all of Canada, all of the U.S. — except for Hawaii — and most of Mexico where the hardest hit land masses, if hit was what happened. What has been almost as startling is the discovery that — contrary to scientific theories and the best evidence available until this unfortunate event — the World apparently is hollow.

“Wait, this just in. Apparently, the rest of the world is forming giant cracks, like puzzle pieces. It appears … it appears, ladies and gentlemen, it appears the world is literally cracking up….”

Oh, the humanity....

“Oh, the humanity….”

Haiku to you Thursday: “Caress”

Sky touches nothing
yet still caresses the Earth’s
all-embracing beauty.

The passion of dry weather

Sun consumes the sky.
Earth’s belly bulges with fire.
Night weeps empty tears.
