“Dance”

Dance

New rain pings old truck, /

kitten waits beneath the frame. /

Old November dance.

Sunday silliness: “Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude”

Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude

Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude

Spent the evening in camarad.

Eating birdseed,

Fists full of greed,

Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude.

Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude,

In raccoon fur they trod.

Into the night

They ate with delight,

Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude.

Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude.

Three raccoons in a pod.

Three peas after food,

Including suet crude.

Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude.

Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude

Were too inland to find scrod.

Eventually they left.

When a boom with some heft

Shooed on Winkin, Blinkin, and Claude.
