The economy, stupid
Oh, crap, it’s the economy, /
The dinosaur said, ignoring astronomy. /
The big rock blazed through the sky /
Attracted attention as it hurtled by./
It matter little they were in danger /
From this fulsome, rocky, plummeting stranger. /
It’s the economy, again came the cry. /
Nothing else matters, “Even if we die!“ /
It’s wonderful to have and hold your things /
And the temporary joy ownership brings. /
But when you’re dead and in the ground /
The joy of ownership will let you down.

Annual physical
I did five holes-in, /
pokes-in, turned my arms about. /
Blood hard to get out.

I am a temple /
Crumbling and ancient curses /
Food-haunted body.

Nuts to you
It is not a nut. /
It is a legume, you say. /
I say, It’s a truck.
