Haiku to you Thursday: “Away and again”

Away and again,
she sweeps the stars from her eyes;

Haiku to you Thursday: “Curiosity”

Curiosity
builds wonder from achievement
and knowledge from hope.

[Editor’s note: inspired by the recent successful landing by NASA of Curiosity on Mars. Worth all the medals at the Olympics, and then some.]

Haiku to you Thursday: “River”

The river reaches /
back to the moment of its /
beginning: one drop.

The river carries /
forward to the time of its /
enduring: one drop

[Editor’s note: Okay, since there are two haiku here on the same subject, sort of mirror images of each other, maybe I should call this biku or ambi-ku or maybe even dos-ku. Duo-ku?]

High, crimson cirrus;
low, purple, bruised cumulus:
dawn fights into day.
